Farm Boss

Staff tutorial

Your day, one job at a time

Everything here works with gloves on and with no signal. Big buttons, one tap each.

1. Start with Today

Your whole day on one screen.

1

Open Today

Every job assigned to you (or to your crew) for today shows as a big card, in due-time order. The bar at the top counts how many you've finished.

Open Today
2

Tap a card to open the job

You'll see the steps your manager wrote and the photos they need back from you.

2. Tick your way through

Top to bottom — the order is the method.

1

Tick each step as you do it

Steps unlock one at a time so nothing gets skipped. The counter shows how much of the job is done, so you can stop and come back later.

2

Take the photos it asks for

Named photos like "Fuel gauge" or "Oil level" each have their own button. One tap opens the camera. The job won't finish until they're all in.

3

Add a voice note or a note

Hold the mic button to record and let go to save — quicker than typing with dirty hands. Text notes are there if you'd rather write.

4

Finish the job

When the last step and last photo are in, mark it done. It turns green on Today.

3. Clock in and out

Your hours, stamped where you were.

1

Clock in when you start

One tap on Today. Your location is stamped with it, so your hours match the place you worked. No typing, no paper.

2

Clock out when you leave

Same button. Your week totals up automatically for your manager.

4. No signal? Keep going

Farm Boss is built for the far end of the farm.

1

Work as normal

When you go offline a banner appears at the top. Keep ticking steps and taking photos — it all saves on your phone.

2

It catches up by itself

The badge shows how many items are waiting. When you get signal or come back to the yard, everything uploads on its own. Don't redo work you've already ticked.

5. Can't do a job? Say so

Better than leaving it blank.

1

Report the issue

Open the job and tap Report issue. Say what's blocking you — broken part, locked gate, wrong weather. Your manager is notified straight away.

2

Delay it a day if it isn't daily

If the job isn't a daily repeat you can push it to tomorrow. It's logged, so nobody thinks you skipped it.

6. Pre-use machine checks

Before the machine moves.

1

Pick the machine, then the asset

Choose the type (tractor, quad bike, generator), then the exact one you're using.

2

Answer each item honestly

Green GO means fine, yellow GO BUT means usable but needs attention, red NO GO means it does not go out. One red stops the machine — that's the point.

3

Enter the hours and sign

The last reading is pre-filled, so just update it. Sign with your finger and the check is saved against that machine.
